Author: Giulio Savo
Genre: Sci-Fi / Speculative Fiction / Time Travel
Themes: Memory, sacrifice, nonlinear time, ancient civilizations, love, loss, survival

Welcome, Readers

This guide is designed to enrich your experience of Time Lines. Whether you're meeting in person, online, or in a quiet moment of reflection, these questions and activities invite you to explore the emotional and philosophical depths of the novel.

Suggested Discussion Questions

  1. Memory as Gravity: How does the novel portray memory? What does the phrase "What is time, if not an archive?" mean to you? Do you think memories from alternate lives should be preserved or forgotten?
  2. Renée's Sacrifice: Why do you think Rene stayed behind? Was it duty, love, necessity—or something else? How did you feel reading his final words?
  3. Failed Timelines: Did one of the Archive entries resonate with you the most? What made it stand out? Do you think the concept of alternate timelines reflects something about human psychology?
  4. The Role of the Nazca Lines: What did the integration of real ancient glyphs add to the story? How did it shape your perception of time and history?
  5. Elly, Max, Sunita, and the Past: What did each astronaut bring to the mission emotionally or philosophically? How did their choices in the past reflect their inner conflicts or growth?
  6. The Echo Effect: How would society realistically respond to Neural Temporal Resonance (NTR)? What parallels can be drawn to our world today in terms of information overload, memory, or belief systems?
  7. Kresh and the Underworld: What does Kresh represent? Is he a warning, a reflection, or something more?
  8. The monument scene near the end: What did the  monument scene mean to you? Did it feel like closure?
  9. Nonlinear Storytelling: How did the nonlinear format affect your emotional engagement? Did it mirror the way we recall or process memory?
  10. The Title: Time Lines Now that you’ve finished the book, what do you think the title truly means?

Activities & Extras

  1. Design Your Glyph:
Based on your personality or journey, what would your temporal glyph look like? Sketch it out or describe it.
  2. Timeline Mapping:
Draw out the key moments in the novel across different timelines. Where did things fracture? When did they begin to align?
  3. Write a Failed Timeline:
What’s one version of the world you imagine was lost along the way? Write a 3-5 sentence entry in the style of the Archive.
  4. Favorite Quotes Collage:
Have each member bring their favorite line. Assemble them into a visual or digital quote collage.
  5. Soundtrack of the Pulse:
If you were scoring the NTR Pulse moment or Renée final log, what song or instrumental would fit?

Thank you for reading.

Time Lines was written not just to be read, but felt—like gravity, like grief, like memory itself. We hope it lingers in your timeline.

Under the stars, they gathered.
Not just to read… but to remember.

Some libraries keep shelves of books.
Ours keeps echoes of timelines.
